Priyanka Chopra remembers dad Ashok Chopra on his sixth death anniversary
Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra lost her father Ashok Chopra in 2013 after his long battle with cancer. As today marks his sixth death anniversary, the actress took to her social media remembering him. Priyanka shared a picture of herself as a child, playing with dad, Dr Ashok Chopra. The picture shows Priyanka who is perched on a tree, with her father standing next to her. PC has often spoken about how difficult it was for her to cope up with this huge loss. The actress also has a tattoo which says, ‘Daddy’s lil girl’ written on her forearm in her father’s handwriting.
Sharing this throwback picture on her social media handle, she wrote, “6 years. Seems like just yesterday we lost you. I miss you Dad. Inexplicably.”

Lot of Priyanka’s close friends and family members commented on her post. Her father-in-law, Kevin Jonas Sr, wrote, “All our love sweet daughter-in-law. Nothing can replace such a special man, but we are here to surround your heart with love and support.” Priyanka’s husband, Nick Jonas also left a heart emoji on her post.
Talking about her dad’s sad demise, Priyanka had earlier said, “His death has been a big blow. I still haven’t dealt with it. I don’t know if I’ve healed, but it doesn’t hurt either. I don’t think I have accepted it. I feel like I’m travelling all over the world, and dad will be home when I return. I think grief becomes your constant companion. You just learn to live with it.”
On the work front, Chopra last appeared in Netflix’s Isn’t It Romantic. She will be next seen in Shonali Bose’s The Sky is Pink, and in another Hollywood film with the Mindy Kaling movie. Rumours also suggest that she may star in a Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo’s next.
